Baseball Recap: Madison Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Madison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Christian Patriots, sneaking past 2-1. For the Warhawks, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Madison got a great performance from Jeremiah Jennings as he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Jennings has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harrison Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Christian, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Madison beat the Patriots by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday.
