Baseball Recap: Antelope Valley Takes a Loss

Antelope Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Eastside Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Antelopes of the 16-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Jackson Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Antelope Valley's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Glover, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

Antelope Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Eastside, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Antelope Valley by a score of 10-0 on Friday.
