Soccer Recap: Tates Creek Comes Up Short

Tates Creek lost against Henry Clay back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Commodores fell 3-1 to the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, Tates Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Henry Clay are ranked third).

Tates Creek has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season. As for Henry Clay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tates Creek will venture away from home to face off against Paul Laurence Dunbar at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henry Clay, they will challenge New Albany at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Henry Clay 0.5, New Albany 0.5) so any goals scored will be well earned.
