Baseball Game Preview: Tualatin Timberwolves vs. Lake Oswego Lakers

For the second straight game, Tualatin will face off against Lake Oswego. The Timberwolves will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Lakers at 5:00 p.m. Tualatin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Lake Oswego's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tualatin gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Lake Oswego 3-2.

For Lake Oswego's part, Harrison Smith was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs Smith has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, Lake Oswego saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan McClaskey, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Lake Oswego has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Tualatin, their win bumped their record up to 15-8-1.
