Muscle Shoals extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 8-0. They took down the Hartselle Tigers 31-17. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hartselle fell to 8-1. They were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Hartselle lost, don't look at Cain Falciani. Despite the final result, he picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jase Hopper also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muscle Shoals will host Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Black Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Hartselle, they will welcome Mortimer Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jaheim Pruitt and Parker Reno.
