Oswego had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Plainfield Central Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Oswego got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Plainfield Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isabella Ricketts had 13 digs and two assists.

Oswego's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Oswego has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Fremd on the 19th. As for Plainfield Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Plainfield South on the 23rd.
