Baseball Game Preview: Rock Hill Bearcats vs. Northwestern Trojans

Rock Hill hasn't had much luck against Northwestern recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bearcats will venture away from home to challenge the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Rock Hill has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Rock Hill and Nation Ford meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Bearcats lost 16-4 to the Falcons.

Rock Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Brogdon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 9-5 to Fort Mill.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Rock Hill skirted past Northwestern 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
