Baseball Game Preview: Honeoye Bulldogs vs. Wayland-Cohocton Eagles

The Honeoye Bulldogs will challenge the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Honeoye is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

12 must be Honeoye's lucky number: they beat South Seneca with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Bulldogs beat the Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wayland-Cohocton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Livonia by a score of 6-3 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Honeoye pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Honeoye suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Wayland-Cohocton in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
