Softball Recap: Seven Straight Road Wins for Belgreen

Belgreen's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Tharptown Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Belgreen got a big performance out of Kendra Williams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ellie Pounders, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Belgreen's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-14. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Tharptown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belgreen will welcome Phil Campbell at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tharptown, they will square off against Meek at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
