Basketball Recap: Red Rock Central Takes a Loss

Red Rock Central won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 82-48 loss at the hands of the Wabasso Rabbits. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rabbits apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Red Rock Central's loss came despite strong showings from Henry Stavnes and Austin Imker. Stavnes almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, while Imker posted six points. Stavnes has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Red Rock Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Wabasso, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Red Rock Central has already played their next game, an 86-51 loss against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on the 14th. As for Wabasso, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-58 defeat against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on the 12th.
