Softball Game Preview: New Canaan Rams vs. Wilton Warriors

The New Canaan Rams will square off against the Wilton Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in New Canaan's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Wilton has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

New Canaan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Brookfield, who was ranked sixth at the time (New Canaan was ranked eighth). The Rams took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats on Tuesday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Wilton came up short against Danbury on Monday, falling 11-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Canaan fell to 6-1. As for Wilton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

New Canaan skirted past Wilton 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
