Wilbur made her presence known in Circle's 22-0 victory
While Tuesday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Whitney Wilbur. She turned in nothing short of a gem on Tuesday: she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk).
Wilbur's strong effort led Circle over Chaparral and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Circle is 3-0 against Chaparral going back to March of 2023, a lead they'll look to extend.
