Volleyball Preview: Mid Valley Spartans vs. Valley View Cougars
The Mid Valley Spartans will stay at home for another game and welcome the Valley View Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Mid Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Valley View will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Mid Valley finally turned things around against West Scranton on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Invaders.

Meanwhile, Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Lakeland by a score of 3-2.
Valley View wouldn't go down easily and took Lakeland into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 23-25, 15-13.
Despite their defeat, Valley View saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Layla Marino, who had six digs and five aces, was perhaps the best of all. That's the most aces Marino has posted in her last five games.
Mid Valley's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
