Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Find Success

Eisenhower hadn't done well against Westfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Kameron Gourley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Eisenhower is 4-1 when Gourley posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-15 otherwise.

Eisenhower hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matches.

Eisenhower moved to 9-16 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Westfield, they dropped their record down to 3-21 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Eisenhower nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
