After a string of four wins, Bracken County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pendleton County Wildcats, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-8 back in April.

Bracken County's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Pendleton County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Bracken County will be playing at home against Holy Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.8 runs per game on average), something the Polar Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pendleton County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Madison Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
