After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brook Hill, Spring Hill was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Chapel Hill Bulldogs 16-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.
Mattye Moore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Spring Hill got a massive performance out of Josie Gray, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Khloe Saxon, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Spring Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 9-2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Spring Hill's victory bumped their record up to 17-12-1. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.
