Baseball Recap: Astoria Comes Up Short

Astoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Scappoose Indians. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-4 loss on Monday.

Astoria's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Scappoose, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Astoria will take on St. Helens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Lions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Scappoose, they will host Seaside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
