Volleyball Recap: John Hay's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

John Hay didn't have quite enough to beat the Trinity Trojans on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The loss put an end to John Hay's undefeated start to the season.

John Hay started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-27, 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

Having lost for the first time this season, John Hay fell to 2-1. As for Trinity, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Hay will head out to square off against Bard Early College at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trinity, they will venture away from home to challenge Richmond Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
