Football Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kewanee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Sherrard Tigers, falling 52-7. The Boilermakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kewanee's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sherrard, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Kewanee will venture away from home to square off against Newman Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sherrard, they will head out to face off against Orion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
