            Softball Recap: String Theory vs. George Washington Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            String Theory was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They came up short against  the George Washington Eagles, falling  12-5. If String Theory was looking for revenge after losing  11-1 to George Washington when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
  Alaina Petrone was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.  Haley Roberts also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
String Theory now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for George Washington, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. String Theory will square off against Central at 3:15  p.m.  on Monday. As for George Washington, they will challenge Science Leadership Academy at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. George Washington's pitchers better be ready for this one: Science Leadership Academy has averaged an impressive 9  runs per game this season.
