Soccer Game Preview: Palisade vs. Montrose

The Palisade Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Montrose Red Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palisade will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.

Palisade is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Grand Junction Central with a sharp 10-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for Palisade, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Montrose's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 5-1 to Durango.

Montrose's goal came courtesy of Avery Berry, which was the first she's scored this season.

Montrose now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Palisade, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Palisade beat Montrose by a goal in their previous matchup back in March, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
