Soccer Game Preview: Alleghany vs. North Wilkes

The Alleghany Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the North Wilkes Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Alleghany is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wilkes Central on Monday. The Trojans fell 4-2 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, North Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to Starmount. That's two games in a row now that North Wilkes have lost by exactly nine goals.

Alleghany's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-3. As for North Wilkes, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Alleghany couldn't quite get it done against North Wilkes in their previous meeting on October 6th as they fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
