Basketball Recap: Hiram Starts Season with Loss at Home

Hiram unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Chapel Hill Panthers on Tuesday, falling 48-23. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Taylor Gaddis was Hiram's leading scorer, having posted 15 points. Adriana Howell held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Leading Chapel Hill to victory were Zakhiyah Thompson and Cameron Terry. Thompson posted nine points, while Terry earned nine points.

Chapel Hill has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hiram has already played their next game, a 59-38 defeat against Villa Rica on the 13th. As for Chapel Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 40-28 victory against South Paulding on the 14th.
