Baseball Recap: Canyon Hills Falls to Sweetwater in First Game of Season

Canyon Hills had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Sweetwater Red Devils by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Ollie Korman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Josue Flores was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Canyon Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Mission Bay on the 28th. As for Sweetwater, they will venture away from home to face off against Foothills Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
