Stuart piles up the points against Neligh-Oakdale

Recap: Stuart Broncos vs. Neligh-Oakdale Warriors

The Stuart Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season. They really took it to Neligh-Oakdale for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-34 victory at home. Stuart's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stuart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavynn Mustin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The game was Mustin's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Tubbs, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Despite the loss, Neligh-Oakdale still got an impressive performance from Chase Furstenau, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds. Furstenau scored a full 82.4% of Neligh-Oakdale's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Colson Krebs, who scored six points along with three steals.

The win was the fifth in a row for Stuart, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Neligh-Oakdale, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-10.

Stuart will challenge Chambers/Wheeler Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chambers/Wheeler Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Stuart is ranked 103rd). As for Neligh-Oakdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wausa at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
