Football Preview: North Forney Falcons vs. Forney Jackrabbits

The North Forney Falcons are on the road again on Friday to play the Forney Jackrabbits at 7:30 p.m. North Forney will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

North Forney is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lake Ridge 49-24 on Friday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Eagles are ranked 465th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Legend Bey went supernova for North Forney, rushing for 240 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 229 yards and a touchdown on only 19 passes. Nelson Peterson Jr was another key player, having thrown for 253 yards and two touchdowns.

The win got North Forney back to even at 2-2. As for Forney, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Friday's game might be decided in the on the ground. North Forney has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 268 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Forney struggles in that department as they've been averaging 200.5. It's looking like Friday's match might have some serious battles in the trenches.
