Baseball Recap: Nute Comes Up Short

After flying high against Farmington last Monday, Nute came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles on Wednesday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Nute saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Leeman, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Nute now has a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nute will face off against rival Newmarket at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Portsmouth Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Epping at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
