Basketball Recap: Rocky Mountain Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kaysie Cooley and Brittly Boettcher

Rocky Mountain was the 54-41 winner over Burlington when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies fell to the Burlington Huskies 50-45.

Rocky Mountain's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Brittly Boettcher and Kaysie Cooley. Boettcher went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Cooley went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Boettcher continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Rocky Mountain has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Burlington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Rocky Mountain has already played their next matchup, a 44-38 win against Glenrock on the 18th. As for Burlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-31 loss against Lovell on the 18th.
