Gray Collegiate Academy entered their tilt with South Aiken on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Thoroughbreds 44-7. For the War Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Thoroughbreds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Gray Collegiate Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevon Williamson, who rushed for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Xavier Wright was another key signal caller, throwing for 238 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gray Collegiate Academy's defense and their four sacks. Dawson Peek refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Jp Sweatt got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Gray Collegiate Academy's record now sits at 6-2. As for South Aiken, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Gray Collegiate Academy will face off against Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The War Eagles will be up against the Fighting Green Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Aiken, they will square off against Midland Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
