Baseball Recap: Greely Rangers vs. Lake Region Lakers
Greely had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Lake Region Lakers as the Greely Rangers made off with a 12-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greely also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Greely let Wyatt Soucie and Ethan Robeck loose on the outfield. Soucie scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Robeck scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Marky Axelsen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Greely will look to defend their home field on Friday against Gray-New Gloucester at 4:00 p.m. As for Lake Region, they will head out on the road to face off against Yarmouth at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Region is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
