Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Central Linn). They put the hurt on the Mohawk Mustangs with a sharp  15-1 victory on Friday. The  win was familiar territory for the Cobras, who have now won three  matches in a row.
 Jacob Helms made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. Central Linn is undefeated when  Helms posts two or  more  stolen bases, but 4-12 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Trevon Nofziger was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  four  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Thomas Thornton, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Central Linn  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .533. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in four consecutive  games.
Central Linn's record now sits at 7-12. As for Mohawk, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the  loss, which was their eighth straight  on the road.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central Linn will  square off against  rival Culver  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mohawk is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Santiam  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
