Football Game Preview: Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles vs. Gilbert Indians + How To Watch

Gray Collegiate Academy is 0-6 against Gilbert since August of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The War Eagles will host the Indians at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Gray Collegiate Academy sitting on six straight wins and Gilbert on three.

Gray Collegiate Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-0 victory over Aiken. Considering the War Eagles have won five games by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trevon Williamson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 231 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 107.7 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Xavier Wright, who threw for 144 yards and two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gray Collegiate Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Gray Collegiate Academy, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ryan Mobley, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Gilbert now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
