Basketball Game Preview: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Braden River Pirates

The Parrish Community Bulls will square off against the Braden River Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Parrish Community: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Braden River has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Parrish Community lost 68-44 to Bradenton Christian on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Braden River strolled past Palmetto with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 48-32.

Braden River found their leader in sophomore Kelis McGrady, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McGrady has scored all season. Kamiyah Mcgrady was another key player, putting up seven points along with 16 boards and six assists.

Braden River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Parrish Community's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Braden River, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Parrish Community was able to grind out a solid win over Braden River when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 48-41. Will Parrish Community repeat their success, or does Braden River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
