Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Commerce's Winning Streak

After flying high against Rabun County on Monday, Commerce came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Providence Christian Academy Storm on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since August 5th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-4, 25-15.

Leyu Hoover was nothing short of spectacular for Providence Christian Academy: she had 13 digs and three aces. Those 13 digs gave Hoover a new career-high.

With the loss, Commerce broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-22. As for Providence Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-8 record this season.

Commerce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will take on Prince Avenue Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
