Soccer Game Preview: Pendleton vs. Baker/Powder Valley

Pendleton and Baker/Powder Valley are an even 3-3-3 against one another since October of 2016, but likely not for long. The Buckaroos will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baker/Powder Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pendleton, who comes in off a win.

Pendleton will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating La Grande, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Buckaroos' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Pendleton have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Baker/Powder Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Ontario on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Baker/Powder Valley's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6-1. As for Pendleton, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Pendleton might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Baker/Powder Valley in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Buckaroos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
