League recap: Francomano breaks off league-leading run for Lake Norman Charter

3A/2A Conference 3 recap September 10, 2013

Lake Norman Charter's Matt Francomano recorded the longest rushing play in 3A/2A Conference 3 this season in his game against Pine Lake Prep last week. Francomano's team topped the Pride as he sprinted for 89 yards on the play and finished with 89 in all.

North Gaston scaled the state rankings by moving to 164 from 223 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of topping Lincolnton 10-7.

Logan Bradley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Forestview defeated Kings Mountain. He completed 18 passes for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 38 yards. Bradley's key target this week was Mykelti Armstrong, who caught 7 passes for 94 yards.

Michael Dorsainvil threw for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 10-14 with 0 interceptions.

Bishop Ford was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 173 yards on 15 carries as the Jaguars topped the Mountaineers.

Dorsainvil put up the best numbers through the air as Bob McKay's team bested Pine Lake Prep. Dorsainvil's favorite target this week was Petey Fabian, who caught 2 passes for 56 yards.

Armstrong was the best wideout in 3A/2A Conference 3 this week as Forestview topped Kings Mountain. Moe Neal helped Forestview's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 90 yards.

Lake Norman Charter took down Jason Moore's team 51-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dorsainvil ran for 68 yards during the win.
