The Johnsonville Flashes's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Military Magnet Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Johnsonville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Military Magnet Academy is ranked 36th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-10, which was the final score in Johnsonville's tilt against Carvers Bay on Tuesday. Johnsonville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.
Meanwhile, Military Magnet Academy stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 98-23 victory over Baptist Hill on the road. The win was familiar territory for Military Magnet Academy who now have six in a row.
Military Magnet Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dream Watson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 assists. Watson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Willis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Johnsonville dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Military Magnet Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
