Softball Recap: Lassen Grizzlies vs. Chico Panthers        
        
		
            
 Lassen lost a close one when they played  on Thursday but unfortunately for them the  defeat they were handed  on Friday was a bit more commanding. They lost  11-3 to the Chico Panthers. The  loss   continues a  trend for Lassen in their matchups with Chico: they've now lost three in a row.
  Kenzie De La Cruz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 On Chico's side,  Sophia Babler made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). Babler was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Olivia Murphy, who  went 3-for-4 with two  triples, two  runs,  and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Addi Hosier, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Lassen now  has a losing record at 8-9-1. As for Chico, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9-2.
 Lassen will stay at home for another  game and welcome Los Molinos at 6:20  p.m.  on Friday. Los Molinos will roll in looking for their  14th straight  win, something Lassen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chico, they will face off against Colusa at 11:40  a.m.  on Friday. Chico is facing Colusa at the right time seeing as Colusa is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
