Football Recap: Veritas Christian Academy Falls to Saxony Lutheran in First Game of Season

Veritas Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 54-18 loss at the hands of the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Missouri Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Saxony Lutheran, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Doniphan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
