Softball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Has No Trouble Against Lee Park Prep

Forsyth Home Educators won against Ambassador Christian School on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Hawks blew past the Lee Park Prep Knights 16-4. Considering the Hawks have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabel Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Ella Beaver was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Moore, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Forsyth Home Educators and bumps their season record up to 12-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Lee Park Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators will take on Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lee Park Prep, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Charlotte Latin at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
