Baseball Recap: Kenwood Comes Up Short

Kenwood couldn't beat Northeast on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights lost 15-5 to the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Marvin Wares made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Kenwood and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Northeast, their record now sits at 12-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenwood will welcome Dickson County at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
