Mt. Ararat faced Cape Elizabeth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Capers 52-6. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Mt. Ararat, bringing their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points over those games. As for Cape Elizabeth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Mt. Ararat will welcome Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Ararat will be up against Ellsworth's rather soft defense (which has allowed 46 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cape Elizabeth, they will head out to face off against Old Orchard Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
