With a playoff win on the line, Derby rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Olathe North Eagles by a score of 68-55. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

It was another big night for Macayla Askew, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarai Graham, who posted 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Olathe North lost, don't look at Asia Lee. Despite the final result, she went 7-for-15 to rack up 28 points. Lailah Boyd was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds.

Derby's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Olathe North, with the defeat, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-6.
