Softball Recap: Flint Hill Huskies vs. St. James Saints
Monday just wasn't the day for Flint Hill's offense. They lost 10-0 to the St. James Saints on Monday. Flint Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. James apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For St. James' part, the team relied heavily on Mackenzie Griffith, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Griffith is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tenley Mullendore, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Flint Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for St. James, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Flint Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. James, they will head out on the road to take on Smithsburg at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. St. James is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
