Football Recap: McLain Science & Tech Comes Up Short + How To Watch

McLain Science & Tech lost against Poteau back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans received a blow as they fell 43-28 to the Pirates. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sam Tecla produced another solid effort throwing for 308 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 49 yards for Poteau. A healthy portion of Tecla's aerial production (100 yards to be exact) went to Logan Waymire.

McLain Science & Tech now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Poteau, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McLain Science & Tech will face off against rival Glenpool at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Poteau is set to square off against their familiar foe Sallisaw at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Tecla and Kase Adams.
