Volleyball Recap: Burns Hilanders vs. Astoria Fishermen
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Melba, Burns was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Astoria Fishermen 2-1.
Leading Burns to victory were Bailey Temple and Chloe Rothwell. Temple had 13 digs and two aces, while Rothwell had six digs and 15 assists. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Rothwell now posted nine or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season.
Burns' win bumped their record up to 13-3-2. As for Astoria, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
