Baseball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Wesleyan Christian Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Presbyterian Christian on Saturday. The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans fell just short of the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Gaynor was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Blake Goff was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he scored this season.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Presbyterian Christian, they moved to 5-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesleyan Christian Academy will take on Reagan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Presbyterian Christian, they will welcome St. Patrick at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
