Softball Recap: Logan Find Success

Logan hadn't done well against Hunter recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Grizzlies walked away with a 13-9 win over the Wolverines. For the Grizzlies, this counts as revenge for the 22-9 victory the Wolverines walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Emma Bracken was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Miley Allen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Logan lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Logan and bumps their season record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Hunter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Logan has already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Herriman on the 18th. As for Hunter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 16-6 win against Layton on the 18th.
