Football Game Preview: Powell County Wardens vs. Anaconda Copperheads + How To Watch

The Powell County Wardens will challenge the Anaconda Copperheads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Powell County hasn't scored more than six points for seven games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Powell County is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Thompson Falls last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wardens came up short against the Blue Hawks, falling 30-6. The Wardens were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-0.

Meanwhile, Anaconda fell victim to Florence-Carlton and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. The Copperheads haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Powell County's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Anaconda, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Powell County against Anaconda when the teams last played back in October of 2019, as the squad secured a 43-0 win. Will the Wardens repeat their success, or do the Copperheads have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
