Volleyball Recap: Marquette Gets the Win

Marquette proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Blue Springs Wildcats 2-1. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Marquette found their leader in freshman Camille Plunkett, who had six digs and two aces.

Marquette has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Blue Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Marquette has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Rock Bridge on the 27th. As for Blue Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hickman on the 27th.
